At Pulsely, we are changing the way companies develop and implement their D&I strategy through the use of science and data.
We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our team in Lisbon to help us take our D&I solutions to the next level. You will be working closely with entrepreneurs, researchers, designers, and other engineers to build the world’s most powerful D&I data-driven platform.
We are about to start the development of a grown breaking technology in this industry.
Would you like to join the team?
You will be:
• Developing MVPs and product features
• Designing and implementing back-end architectures up to RESTful APIs
• Building reusable and testable code for future use
• Executing work that adheres to best practices and consistency standards
• Collaborating with Product and other team members to prioritize work
• Participating in code reviews and sharing knowledge
• Iterating fast with an agile project management process with Kanban boards
• Automating packaging, installation, and deployment on a cloud environment
• Optimizing application for speed and scalability
You should bring:
• 4+ years of experience mastering object-oriented languages and web development
• Graduate degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
• Eagerness for lean, pragmatic, and well-tested code
• Experience with NoSQL databases, cache systems, and messaging
• Strong experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment tools
• Have a European work permit
But also (nice to have):
• Linux and AWS experience
• Good understanding of containerization and orchestration
• Contributions to OSS
• Previous startup experience
• Python and Django experience
