About the role

Manage Logistics operations consisting of All import, export, domestic and international transportation. This includes all communication, reporting, monitoring, tracking, negotiating, communicating with internal and external customers. Work collaboratively with our warehouses in US, Canada, Europe, Sales, Purchasing, S&P, Product Development, Finance and other operating departments for efficient process flow.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategically Plan and Manage Inbound and Outbound Logistics and Transportation.
Maintain Metrics and Analyze Data to assess Performance and Implement Improvements.
Coordinate and Monitor Supply Chain Operations.
Ability to thoroughly review and Audit Customs Documentation, audit reports.
Streamlines the International Shipping and Transportation Processes.
Work with Freight Audit companies managing weekly, monthly and quarterly exception reports.
Manager RFI, RFQ and RFP process with LTL, TL carriers, communicate with freight brokers.
Manage the Dangerous Goods Shipping Practices and Ensure Compliance.
Establish Dangerous Goods Record Keeping SOP and Ensure Compliance.
Analyze Small Package Shipping Practices and Provide Direction to Ensure Best in Class Practices are being Utilized.
Actively manages emails and responds to internal and external customers.
Audit Inbound International Shipments and ensure INCO term compliance.
Communicate with Suppliers, Retailers, Sales and the Customer Service Team
Prepare Accurate Reports for upper Management.
Manages activities throughout the Order Fulfillment and Transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
Other duties as assigned by manager or designee.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Proven experience working as a Transportation, Import/Export or Logistics Manager.
Record of successful Distribution and Logistics Management.
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
Proficient in standard logistics software.
Must take Initiative and be able to Multi-task.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Knowledge of International Shipping practices and Documentation.
Previous Dangerous Goods Certification.
Experience working directly with Customs Brokers.
Experienced in the Customs Clearance process.
Thorough Understanding of International Shipping Rules and Guidelines.
A complete understanding of INCO Terms.
Excellent PowerPoint, Word, Excel Skills.
Must have a Four-Year College Degree.
Must have 7-10 years’ experience in supply chain, distribution, import, export and transportation experience preferably in Client, retail or wholesale.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills, Decision making ability, Organizational skills, Procedural mindset, Ability to prioritize, Attention to detail, Ability to analyze data and understand connections, Talent for recognizing opportunities for process improvement in those connections.
