About the role
As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties including, but not limited to: processing a high volume of accounts payable, routing expense invoices for approval, weekly check runs, ensuring invoices are paid timely and accurately.
Performing month-end closing activities including accruals, accounting entries and reconciliations
Processing of accounting documents
Verification of invoices and other accounting documents
Preparing ledger documentations according to tax legislation
Ensuring timely payments to avoid late charges and negative impact on early pay discounts
Preparing management P&L and reconciliations with financials
Conducting variance analysis of actuals vs budget
Working closely with the business teams for ad-hoc requirements
Working on various ad-hoc audit functions
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years related work experience
Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Being comfortable working in cross-functional teams
Ability to understand commercial arrangements, tracking accounts payable/receivable
Proficiency in Excel, database applications and other analysis tools
Superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to research financial systems and processes to resolve issues
Understanding of basic accounting principles around transactional processes
